Sam Trickett signes with Everest

Everest Poker announced the appointment of British poker professional Sam Trickett as a brand ambassador.

Trickett will work with the Everest Poker team in London to ensure the customer offer remains one of the strongest in the market.  He will also attend Everest Poker Live events, where players will have the opportunity to receive personal coaching from him.  Trickett will also blog and provide regular video updates from Las Vegas and his many other stops on the professional circuit – in a strategy designed to engage poker players and give them a compelling reason to visit Everest Poker.

From gas fitter to global poker superstar Sam Trickett is proof personified that the right combination of hard work; skill and luck can make anybody’s dreams come true as his $19.9 million in live tournament prize money demonstrate, making him the #1 ranked European player of all time.  In the last three years alone, the 27 year old sensation has had five separate cashes of over $1 million, and has picked up major tournament honours all over the world.

Alongside his tournament prowess, Trickett is also well known for playing in the largest cash games in Macau; a secretive series of multi-million dollar ring games featuring rich Asian businessmen and leading pros like Tom Dwan, John Juanda and Phil Ivey, and it’s the money taken from these mega stars that now affords Trickett the luxury to invest more of his time playing with Everest players.

The highlight of Trickett’s career to date was a runner up finish in the inaugural ‘One Drop’ tournament at the 2012 World Series of Poker, where the Englishman finished runner up to Antonio Esfandiari for a record busting $10.1 million payday, just one year after taking over $4.5m from the live felt, in what many experts believe to be one of the greatest displays of live tournament poker in recent times.

Everest Poker itself is no stranger to the World Series of Poker, having been the main event title sponsor in 2008 and 2009.  The tie up with Trickett will offer the iPoker top tier operator the chance to launch a unique promotional concept for players.

Des Duffy, who heads up Everest Poker in dot.com
markets, explained: “We want to encourage players to get behind Sam’s quest for a first bracelet this summer and we’re excited to reveal that Sam will be offering players the chance to share in 10% of his winnings in the 20 to 30 bracelet events he enters this year, excluding the One Drop.  With Sam’s consistent record of cashing at high profile tournaments there could be a huge amount of value on the table.  Plus we’ll capture the atmosphere of Las Vegas through a series of video blogs that Sam will be recording during the series.  I think for players who can’t make it to Las Vegas themselves, having a share in Sam Trickett will be the next best thing.”

Sam Trickett stated:  “I’m very excited to be joining Everest Poker and I’m looking forward to interacting with our players online and at Everest Poker Live events, where I’ll be playing and coaching.  Everest is a great poker brand and I will be doing everything I can to make it one of the most recognised in the world.”

On releasing 10% of his action at the World Series of Poker, Trickett added:  “It’ll make the Vegas grind a lot easier to know I have a lot of players following my progress this year.  I’ve promised my mum a bracelet and will be doing my very best to score big for everyone who’ll own a share in me.”

Sam Trickett will be playing exclusively online with Everest Poker under the username “SamTrickett”.  His first official engagement will be at the Gioco Digitale World Poker Tour event in Venice on March 10th.  To play with Sam and to win a share of his winnings at the 2014 World Series of Poker, go to www.everestpoker.com
